Pesäpallo match will be broadcast on July 25th in English for free

The pesäpallo match between Sotkamon Jymy (Superjymy) and Imatran Pallo-Veikot on July 25th will be broadcast in English on Ruutu streaming service. The match will be freely available on the Ruutu service both live and as a replay, giving international viewers around the world the chance to experience the pesäpallo match in a language shared by the most people. The match will also be uploaded later to the Superpesis YouTube channel.

Pesäpallo is currently enjoying great popularity and can be said to be on the rise domestically and globally.

– Our content creator team has achieved to reach tens of millions of people on various social media channels this year. A great number of those people are from the US, so this is a great opportunity to test a broadcast with English commentary, says Olli Aro, the CEO of Superpesis ltd.

Through this pilot broadcast, Superjymy wants to test the interest of international viewers in pesäpallo content, especially match broadcasts. The pilot is part of Superjymy’s long-term plan to produce new content not only for Finnish Jymy fans but for the entire pesäpallo community and other sports fans.
